Hi everybody! Our russian SIM card did not work, so I couldn't get online. (it is fixed now) We managed to stabilize the spring with 2 metal bars and some screws and drove slowly to a car service. They are currently replacing the spring. Thank You for all Your effort and help! We are indeed from germany but I choose english because it works better with google to translate into russian. Can You recommend some sightseeing in Krasnoyarsk while we are waiting for the car to be repaired. Regards Karsten

Hi Thanks for all your replies. It is one of the REAR springs that is broken. Unfortunately it is the main spring leaf ( the one mounted to the frame ) and it broke on both sides of the axle. Please don't ask how. It is a long story! The car itself weighs 1900kg empty. We are on a long journey until the end of the year. There fore we have loaded a lot. Rooftent, equipment, clothes, tools, spare parts ( no spare spring ). All together it may be 2300 kg, not really 2500. ( and in germany you can't load as much as you want! Maximum load for the car is 2600kg ) The springs where okay when we started but they are 34 years old and our 6000 kilometers journey made them pretty weak. We are now staying in Krasnoyarsk near "Парк культуры и отдыха имени". We are planning to travel further to Irkutsk, Baikal, then to Mongolia and Kasachstan as soon as the springs are replaced. We try to check out 4x4safari today for some "Tough Dog" springs and then try to find a workshop. I could also put the springs into the car myself if someone can recommend a self service workshop. Hello My Girlfriend and I are currently on a roadtrip through russia with our 1984 Land Cruiser HJ60. Lately one of our back leaf springs broke and we are now stuck in Krasnoyarsk. Unfortunately our russian is very bad. We have been to a car service but they wanted 56000 Rubel for one spring! We still had the original 6 leaf springs on the car. Due to the heavy load ( total about 2500 kg ) we would like to upgrade to 8 leaf springs in the back on both sides. Can anyone recommend a car service that is doing old Land Cruisers or a shop where I can buy such leaf springs for Toyota HJ60 in Krasnoyarsk? Thanks for Your Help Regards Karsten
